Summary


The Area Sales Consultant will develop and maintain business relationships with both new and existing brokers and consultants in order to increase sales of products and services, which will ad revenue value and increase profitability by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

  • Implement and execute successful sales through producer relationships to exceed membership and profit goals.

  • Initiate cold calling.

  • Ensure broker and general agent needs are met on a consistent basis.

  • Manage prospect evaluation and proposal development.

  • Develop products and rates for insurance.

  • Work with internal departments to improve processes, and outcomes based on feedback from the producers and/or groups.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities


This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience

Educational degrees must be from a US Department of Education accredited school.

  • Must have a High School diploma/GED.

  • One (1) to three (3) years of related experience preferred.

  • Prior experience in the dental or health care insurance preferred.

  • Knowledge of Health Care Plans, Benefits, Contracts and on-line systems preferred.
